Welcome to Set In Stone Jewelry LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, services, and the purchase of any custom or ready-to-ship lab-grown jewelry products (collectively, "Services").

By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Custom Orders & Design Approvals

  • CAD & Design Sign-Off: For custom jewelry projects, production will not commence until you have reviewed and formally approved the digital rendering, CAD design, or specifications provided by us.
  • Accuracy of Customer Specifications: You are responsible for ensuring that all provided details—including ring sizes, engraving text, metal choices, and stone specifications—are correct at the time of final approval.
  • Production Commitment: Once final approval and payment (or deposit) are received, your order enters production immediately.

2. Cancellation, Return, & Refund Policy

Our strict return and cancellation guidelines apply to all orders:

  • Final Sale: All custom-designed, made-to-order, personalized, or custom-engraved items are final sale and non-refundable.
  • Cancellations Before Production: You may cancel an order for a full refund within 24 hours of placement by emailing info@setinstonejewelry.co.
  • No Cancellations After Production Begins: Once production has begun (typically 24 hours after order placement or upon final design sign-off), cancellations, modifications, returns, or exchanges are not permitted under any circumstances.
  • Defects & Repairs: If an item arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, you must notify us within 7 days of delivery. Approved claims are eligible for repair or replacement only.

3. Product Descriptions & Gemstone Variations

  • Lab-Grown Diamonds & Gemstones: All lab-grown diamonds and gemstones sold by Set In Stone Jewelry LLC are physically, chemically, and optically identical to mined stones. Every stone carries minor natural variations in color, clarity, and dimensions.
  • Digital Renderings vs. Finished Product: CAD renderings and digital preview images are representations of the final product. Slight variations may occur during the physical hand-crafting, setting, and polishing process.
  • Certifications: Where applicable, lab-grown diamonds will be accompanied by an independent grading report (e.g., IGI or GIA).

4. Payment Terms & Pricing

  • Payment Required: Full payment or an agreed-upon deposit is required prior to the commencement of CAD modeling or physical production.
  • Pricing Accuracy: We reserve the right to correct pricing errors on our website or invoices at any time. If an item is listed at an incorrect price due to a system or technical error, we reserve the right to cancel any orders placed for that item.

5. Shipping & Risk of Loss

  • Insurance & Delivery: All shipments are sent fully insured via trackable courier services (e.g., FedEx, UPS) and require an adult signature upon delivery.
  • Address Accuracy: We are not responsible for delivery delays or lost packages resulting from incorrect shipping addresses provided by the customer.
  • Transfer of Risk: Risk of loss and title for items passed to you upon successful delivery to the shipping address provided.

6. Sizing & Alterations

  • Sizing Responsibility: You are responsible for providing accurate sizing. We offer one complimentary ring resizing within 30 days of delivery for eligible standard ring designs.
  • Non-Resizable Designs: Eternity bands, tension settings, or certain complex custom settings cannot be resized.
  • Third-Party Modifications: Any resizing, repair, or modification performed on our jewelry by a third-party jeweler immediately voids all warranties and renders the item ineligible for complimentary service.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Design Ownership: All custom design concepts, CAD models, sketches, 3D renderings, and website content created by Set In Stone Jewelry LLC remain the exclusive intellectual property of the Company.
  • Right to Replicate: Unless governed by an explicit written exclusivity agreement signed prior to design creation, we reserve the right to replicate, display, or sell variations of any custom design created for customers.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Set In Stone Jewelry LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the purchase or use of our products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the specific item in dispute.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
